Fast Frequency Selective Keyhole MRI using Optimized K-Space Trajectories
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present a new Fast Frequency Selective Keyhole (FFSK) method, which allows dynamic acquisition of a low-resolution image signal from the arbitrarily chosen k-space points and reduces acquisition time of the conventional keyhole approach. Off-resonance components are eliminated by the filtering procedure which substantialy increase SNR. The effect of the FFSK method on contrast in dynamic MRI is evaluated.

Fast Frequency Selective Keyhole MFU
Introduction The conventional keyhole data acquisition is used to permit faster imaging procedures without loss of sensitivity in dynamic studies, where initial high-resolution spatial information is combined with low-resolution spatial information at later points in time. We propose a new Fast keyhole (FK) method, which allows dynamic acquisition of a low-resolution image signal from selected ...
متن کاملAutomatic Design of Radial Trajectories for Parallel MRI and Anisotropic Fields-of-View
Introduction: In recent years, non-Cartesian k-space trajectories such as radials and spirals have gained increased attention owing to mild appearance of artifacts from flow, chemical shift and undersampling, increased efficiency and intrinsic self-navigating properties. Remaining challenges of imaging with non-Cartesian trajectories include the lack of practical methods to optimize their perfo...
متن کاملFunctional magnetic resonance imaging using PROPELLER-EPI.
Periodically rotated overlapping parallel lines with enhanced reconstruction-echo-planar imaging (PROPELLER-EPI) is a multishot technique that samples k-space by acquisition of narrow blades, which are subsequently rotated until the entire k-space is filled. It has the unique advantage that the center of k-space, and thus the area containing the majority of functional MRI signal changes, is sam...
متن کاملOptimized three-dimensional fast-spin-echo MRI.
Spin-echo-based acquisitions are the workhorse of clinical MRI because they provide a variety of useful image contrasts and are resistant to image artifacts from radio-frequency or static field inhomogeneity. Three-dimensional (3D) acquisitions provide datasets that can be retrospectively reformatted for viewing in freely selectable orientations, and are thus advantageous for evaluating the com...
متن کاملImproving the temporal resolution of functional MR imaging using keyhole techniques.
Using a keyhole technique, it is shown that the data acquisition rate of gradient-echo imaging for functional MRI (fMRI) studies can be increased substantially. The resulting enhancement of the temporal resolution of fMRIs was accomplished without modifying the hardware of a conventional MRI system. High spatial resolution fMRI images were first collected with conventional full k-space acquisit...
